DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAYA GRAMEEN KAUSHALYA YOJANA (DDU-GKY) is the skill development and placement initiative scheme launched by  the Ministry of Rural Development. The scheme focuses on catering to the occupational aspirations of rural youth and enhancing their skills for regular and organised sector wage employment.

DDU-GKY has its origins linked to the Aajeevika skills programme and the ‘Special Projects’ component of the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY). Implementation of DDU-GKY involves State Governments, Technical Support Agencies like the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD & PR), and Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs). The Ministry invited various organisations to sign up as vendors for the complete implementation of this scheme in various rural corners of India

We, at Ecartes, started our journey with DDU-GKY with the focus on scaling up India’s skill training efforts to provide employment opportunities to the skilled rural you in order to meet the demands of employers. This would ensure increase of employment in the organised sector and thus  drive economic growth.

We have taken up charge for the successful implementation of the scheme in parts of India, We currently are providing the training in the following sectors in Rural Gujarat.
